Families are made up of separate, distinct personalities as individuals and a collective spirit as a family unit.  By taking care with individual posing and group dynamics, and interacting with the various personalities within your family, Art will capture the special bonds and quirks that make your family unique.

The best family portraits are captured utilizing studio lighting.  We bring our studio lights and a portable generator (when necessary) to all portrait shoots.  Because of this, we have the flexibility required to obtain the best lighting and best portrait possible.

Clothing – each member of a family should be attired in a similar manner.  Whether it be blue jeans & white shirts, khaki pants & black shirts; the cohesiveness of the family portrait largely depends on the clothing choices made for the portrait.  For extended family portraits, it is ok for each individual family to wear a separate color or style, as long as they complement each other.  We also highly recommend wearing solid colors rather than stripes or prints as the busier prints tend to take the attention away from the subject’s face.
