Most people don’t realize that an engagement portrait session is very important for your overall wedding experience. It allows you to get to know your photographer’s style and personality so that you are more at ease & relaxed on your wedding day. The interaction during the portrait session builds a sense of trust and camaraderie between the couple and your photographer, which allows you to have more fun on your wedding day. Engagement portrait sessions can be photographed on location or in studio. Either way the lighting will be ideal, as we use our studio lights on location as well. Engagement portraits are meant to be casual and fun and Art and Connie have the personalities to make that happen. We like to start the portrait session with some posed images, but we especially like to capture the spontaneous, fun, intimate, romantic moments as the couple interacts with each other. This provides a wonderful variety of images to choose from for your engagement portrait. Clothing – the couple should be attired in a similar or complimentary manner. Whether it be blue jeans & white shirts, khaki pants & black shirts; the cohesiveness of the engagement portrait largely depends on the clothing choices made for the portrait. We also highly recommend wearing solid colors rather than stripes or prints as the busier prints tend to take the attention away from the subject’s face.
